This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which HCIT collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the HCM application (“App”). This privacy policy applies to the App and all products and services offered by HCIT.

Personal identification information

HCIT does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to use our App. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to register on the App or send any information about yourself to us. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under age 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a person under 18.

GPS Location Information

HCIT collects GPS location information solely for government purposes, particularly Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), while the App is in use. This information is collected to ensure compliance with government regulations and to facilitate accurate visit verification. Please note that the data collected belongs to the agency for which the caregiver is working, and caregivers have no rights over this data. If Users have any complaints regarding the collection or usage of GPS location information, they must reach out to their respective agency, which has scheduled them to work.

Non-personal identification information

HCIT may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our App. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to our App, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Web browser cookies

Our App may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the App may not function properly.

Data Security Measures

HCIT employs stringent security measures to protect the data collected through the App. This includes encryption, secure servers, and access controls to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of user information.

Third-party Sharing

HCIT does not share personal data collected through the App with any other companies for their use.

User Rights

Users are not granted access to make modifications to the data other than clock-ins and recording visit duties. However, they have the right to request access to their personal data, and to rectify or delete any inaccurate or incomplete information.

Data Retention

HCIT retains the data collected through the App for a period of 7 years in accordance with government regulations.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

HCIT reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time. Users will be notified of any changes through the App or via other appropriate means.
